I saw this tonight at the MIFF (Mississauga film festival) and it was such a treat, I would be hard pressed not to call this my favorite summer movie for 2010!
It was clever, had some interesting twists, and the acting was very good. One thing movies cant seem to do is make me laugh, 90% of them may get me to produce a smirk and thats about it.
This movie made me laugh a bunch of times, and out loud!
I hope to see more from these guys!!
Here is my old song I was working on, made a lil commercial of a album I was working on that will most likely never see the light of day. Warning- not as good as the other video.
What do you do when you've got a hankering to play Mario and have a spare projector along with a motion tracking system? Create an interactive installation that's projected onto a sidewalk of course.
A part of my childhood and possibly yours meets a terrible end... so sad.
Stephen Perry, a writer for “Thundercats” and “Silverhawks”, had been found in grisly circumstances, but the police weren’t sure about the nature of his death. Sadly, suspicions that Mr. Perry had been murdered by his roommates seem to have been correct, as the roomates have been charged with killing and dismembering Mr. Perry. The roommates, James and Roxanne Davis, were supposed to help Mr. Perry defray rent costs after he’d been robbed. instead, they refused to pay rent and stole painkillers from Mr. Perry, who was recovering from cancer at the time. RIP...
Slated for 2011, I dunno...
I do not mind Seth Rogan, but in a super hero movie as the lead? He is nothing like Van Williams the original Green Hornet, you can just tell from the trailer.
Also the asian guy, never heard of him, but I will give him a chance. Incase you did not know, Bruce Lee played Kato in the T.V. series.
I am glad Hollywood actually picked a Asian guy to play Kato as they are catching some backlash for using white actors to play other ethnicities. (Prince of Persia, The last air bender)
I agree with the backlash, hey I am still bitter that the kingpin in the hunk of shit DARDEVIL was played by a Ving Rhames and not by some big fat white guy. Look at the old Bat movies from the 90s, first 2 movies also. Harvey Dent is played by Billy Dee Williams, the 3rd movie rolls out Harvey Dent is now played by Tommy Lee Jones? (Billy Dee is black, Jones is white)
I am also glad they didn't choose the guy from Harold and Kumar, or Jackie Chan.
Anyways...I am going off in all directions here...
The action looks pretty good, I am willing to give this movie a chance. I think it will be interesting to see how many little brats will love this but hate the original.
On the plus side, I hope they release the originals on DVD... I'll buy that for a dollar!
Its like 90210, or Melrose place but it all takes place in the wonderful maze of cheap über-kewl furnature store...Ikea. I just have a feeling after kids watch this, the mall will become passé, and Ikea will be the place to be.
