New Star Wars trilogy... maybe...

My 2 cents before I post, what I had read...
Lucas can do 2 things that would make these "New" movies work, if they make them.
First of all, give the entire project to A die hard who is A movie director.
George is to gung ho on CGI, and surrounds himself with Yes men. Yes he has creative control, but it is time to let your baby go. Just sit back and enjoy the mountain of cash coming your way, and if the movies rule... your former fan base will respect you again, and hand over lots of cash.
He should also look at video game developers, "THE FORCE UNLEASHED" has a better story line then the new trilogy. Guys making video games can do a better job then him. The 1st game had some control issues, but the 2nd one I downloaded the demo and the controls are fantastic.

The other thing would be impossible, but it seemed to work best for him the first time. Eliminate the majority of the CGI, go back to making sets, limit your budget, make things stressful. He dealt with all that and made one of the best movies of all time. He deals with none of that now and made the biggest disappointments of all time.
I would say use CGI for space shots, explosions, but limit it... and no 3d.
That would never happen.

George Lucas is plotting to create new Star Wars movies at the ultra top-secret Skywalker Ranch. This is deja vu of the mid '90s when Uncle George start[ed] tweaking the Holy Trilogy to gear up for the Special Editions. [...] These new film will have nothing to do with the live action television series currently in development. That show already has over 50 scripts ready to go and plenty of pre-production time and money has been spent on artwork and storyboards. Once that show goes into production, Lucasfilm hopes to be able to produce at least 100 episodes since that is the threshold for syndication in the United States [...Fans] can expect the new trilogy after the entire saga is released in 3D which is expected to be complete around 2015 or 2016.
Also, the trilogy is reported to kick off approximately 24 months after the 3Ding ofReturn of the Jedi, and the next three episodes (which could be either Episodes 7-9 or 10-12) could possibly "occur as far as 100 years or 1,000 years in the Star Wars universe future." Furthermore, the IESB source claims that the movie will not focus on the Skywalker clan.

A long time ago in a Galaxy far, far away... they kept milking our wallets.

It may be a few months late, but ThinkGeek has now announced that the sweet Wampa rug is now shipping for $99.99 (USD). I bet this will sell out quickly, so you had better order one now. The rug measures 62″ long and 30″ wide so it is sized well for making your prisoner bikini clad Leia fantasy come true with your best girl.
The claws of the rug are vinyl, the head is plush, and the fur is a soft synthetic material. ThnkGeek says the thing is even a licensed Lucasfilm collectable and has non-slip backing. I would like to see a version missing an arm so I can pretend I killed it escaping from an ice cave.

Return of the EWOK mockumentry... you never saw this.

Return of the Ewok is a 24-minute mockumentary starring Warwick Davis, the actor who played the Ewok, Wicket W. Warrick in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and the Ewok spin-off films. Davis and David Tomblin, Return of the Jedi’s first assistant director, created it, with Tomblin directing. Lucasfilm planned to use the movie as a promotional film for Return of the Jedi, but post-production on the film was never completed.
The film is set in both the “real world” and the fictional locations of the Star Wars universe. Real world locations include an airport, Elstree Studios and the actors’ dressing rooms, while the fictional locations include Dagobah, the Death Star II, Jabba’s Palace, and Endor. Throughout the film, these two realities are intermixed to produce an alternate reality.

AVATAR X STARWARS TROOPER MASHUP

Star Wars has always been one of the most popular Movie sagas ever, and while Avatar is much newer, it has joined the popularity and received tremendous positive feedback. It is no surprise then to see the two world being combined by creating an Avatar themed Stormtrooper Helmet which would seem cool to some and blasphemous to others.

The Force Unleashed 2 trailer

I dunno,  I kinda liked the first one, I found it hard to put down it put a interesting spin on the Star Wars saga.
This trailer looks better then episode 1,2, and 3.
