1st off when I say REAL fans, I mean the people who enjoy a good movie and will come back for more. The people who have follow certain properties like Batman or Spiderman and who have poured hard earned cash into these properties over the years.
Some directors can nail it so perfect like the new Batman movies with Christian Bale. Even before the hype surrounding the death of Heath Ledger he had made Batman Begins, and that was fantastic. Other notible mentions the 1st two x-men movies, Ironman and The Watchmen were all done very well.
Then you get trash, piles of shit like Daredevil, Superman returns, Cat woman and my personal disappointment The fantastic 4. I read at one point they were going to make Fantastic 4 a campy comedy similar to Charlies Angeles. After watching the 2 movies they made I wish they would have.
Spiderman was my favorite comic when I was a kid and the rumors about a movie floated around since the mid 80s. At one point James Cameron was going to do it, I am sure it would have been a hit. Willing to bet if he puts his mind to it he will come up with a blockbuster. (thats a joke)
I liked the 1st Spiderman, and I liked the 2nd one even more, some people hated it... and thats fine.
The 3rd movie was a total disaster and had way to much going on. You had Venom, the Sandman, and the Hobgoblin all on the same block. Peter Parker dances, turns Emo... I could go on and on about how much it sucked.
Anyways... HOLLYWOOD, watch this!
I am really digging the look of this game, it looks like the transformers I grew up with.
I like the back story elements, the explanations of how it all came to and most important the battle on Cybertron.
The movies should have been like this.
- According to Michael Bay, Skids and Mudflap will not be returning inTransformers 3. The duo caused some drama in the last film, as many felt the characters portrayed a negative racial stereotype. Bay made the following announcement on his forums…
"The Twins are not back in T3."
Thats good news, T3 is going to suck but at least it wont have these robot Jar Jar binks.
Kids today are spoiled with the likes of Avatar and every other movie coming out which is 3d.
I had Inferno, Jaws 3 and then SPACE HUNTER THE ADVENTURE BEGINS, and they were all years apart.
I could remember running down the corner store to get the morning paper which had 2 pairs of 3D glasses. I also remember the movies being 100% shit. Yet they did play a episode of the 3 stooges in 3d and that was well worth it.
I really like this and I really like the music in this also. If you need a bunch of girls dancing around, or some dude in a car driving in slowmo, or a teenage girl dressed like a hooker from the 70s half naked singing about relationships... well this ain't for you.
This was the opening video for our Student Fall Retreat called "You've Got Talent." Everyone is asking what inspired this. Here is goes... 1) We needed a great opening video that caught everyone off guard, and set the the tone for the weekend. 2) With this idea in mind, we thought we could use this video as a great object lesson about media choices (kinda creepy hearing your grandparents sing some of this), and 3) this has been a GREAT transgenerational culture experiment. It has totally bridged a gap with our Senior adults and our students. Hope you enjoy!
